5 Ups to scale up

 A startupper’s guide to life

Among the daily workload and its manageability, the long-term vision blocks and their connectedness with the now, there are these five static “Up”s you can follow to scale up.

Upstart

Startups are incredibly trendy today. Even taking all the cool and glam out, they process and spread a wonderful mantra. “Creating to explore and learn”. Before and more than anything else. Whether a corporate, a freelancer or a startup per se , this thinking will follow through and manage your priorities to the best possible outcome.

Upcycle

Resources are key and depleting. A fact. The master tip for holding on to them is learning and teaching to minimise the waste. Thus, upcycle.

Upcycling is the same recycling, but nicer. It is the art of using what needs to be dumped for the good. Whether a piece of shabby office furniture or an old blog from your first steps into the web, some slices of thought and you’ve got happy new solutions versus throwing away.

Upgrade

Most of us exercise daily in likeability. We try to convert people. To our beliefs, ideas, ways of living. Make a comfortable habitat for our ego. Thus, we surround ourselves by those who like us, are ready to vouch for us and praise us.

Upgrade your peers. Get along with those smarter and faster than you, those who know or have done more, those who think different, those who will challenge you. Not as comfortable as fans, these folks will take you there.

Upgrade your thoughts. Sticking to what was right once or what seemed perfect then is the route down stagnation. Up for the next big thing? Keep the ball rolling. Adapt, pivot, customise.

The most utile quality we have is this ability to learn and grow. To our better selves. It’s a constant process of internal bug fixes that every human needs to take over his dreams.

Upshot

Educate yourself into closing deals, conversations, interviews. Conclude before marching out. Let least assumptions happen, as they are most often not on your side. Upshot your meetings and even draft projects, as only what they gave you is what matters.

Finally, Show up!

Yes, as simple as that. Leave premises, rooms, offices and bed. The best way to thrive is to be there. The more you are, the smaller the unknown becomes. Showing up is the friendliest tactic of earning markets, clientele and feedback. Got a brand new event bombarding your inbox? Don’t worry much. Just show up!

An emerging growth routine I have adopted recently is all about ups.

The only up you shouldn’t do is putting up. Cause it’s boring.
