There’s Always that One Person

Even after the worst of fights, there’s something that tells you, maybe it’s your insights…
That you’ll be ready to give a new start to that one person who’s always held your heart.
It’s not because you’re generally nice it’s just that you’d rather forgive and keep them in your life.
Even after you say “am over you” you can still feel the underlying doubt which surfaces on cue.
Maybe you’ll ignore it or brush it aside, but it still doesn’t look good especially when you’re convincing people otherwise.
The care and concern can never be killed, however hard you try or go against your will.
Instincts will tell you you’re safer at a distance, so you wean your self and struggle at being consistent.
Successful at times till their clogging your vision, then naiveness sets in tearing you between your intuitions.
That’s when you realize its all pretense; you’ve been shadowing the truth and using it as your defense.
Yet you’ll hold your stance and admit only to yourself, for reasons unknown you’re still under their spell.

Although it hurts to watch them go, you won’t hold them back or let your true feelings show.
You’re so scared of losing them that you wont risk a thing, you’d go with the flow without any questioning

You try to move on in a million ways getting into relationships that are close to fake.
Or you might choose a different approach, moving on to many more….
Keeping it superficial because that’s as far as you could go.

How much ever you try to get them out of your system, there’ll always be a part of you that longs for their presence.
