With amazing resources and a diverse community, Vancouver is truly doing the most when it comes to dining. With that, we’re providing three dinners, but please use the rest of your time here to explore what the city has to offer!

Of course, there is no shortage of amazing places to eat in downtown Vancouver if you’re feeling fancy. But if you’re looking for more affordable options, here are some place within walking distances from the Vancouver Marriott Pinnacle Downtown Hotel to kickstart your culinary journey:

Meat & Bread (1033 W Pender St)

Looking for a quick yet filling lunch? Sandwiches from Meat & Bread are calling your name. The place is open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays.

La Taqueria (586 Hornby St)

There are tacos, nachos and burritos galore. There is also an amazing margarita menu that starts at 5 p.m. Need we say more? La Taqueria is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily and its happy hour is from 3 to 6 p.m.

Danbo Ramen (1333 Robson St)

Who doesn’t love a good noodle soup during the winter time?! Danbo offers big bowls of ramen that are between $10 and $15, as well as side dishes like gyoza and rice bowls that are around $5 or less. It also has vegan options for ramen and gyoza. Danbo opens daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Chickpea food truck (884 W Cordova St)

If you’re vegetarian or vegan, you’ve come to the right place. Chickpea serves up amazing Middle Eastern plant-based food that costs at most $15 for a big platter with a variety of sides, including their amazing chickpea fries. The food truck is open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays.

Asian Heritage Eatery (1108 W Pender St)

Their rice and noodle bowls, while a tad pricey in comparison to options above, are absolutely delicious. Or you could also play around with a combination of baos + sides for a more affordable experience. The place is open daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Coffee & Quick Bites

If you’re in a hurry, there are also many great coffee shops that are under a 5-minute walk from the hotel:

Caffè Artigiano (1101 W Pender St): 5:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays and 6 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekend

Koffie (1050 W Pender St): 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays

JJ Bean Coffee Roasters (353 Burrard St): 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

49 Parallel Cafe & Lucky’s Doughnuts (689 Thurlow St): 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Seriously, don’t miss out on these donuts!
