The Tragic Death of Actor Gaspard Ulliel

Beloved French actor Gaspard Ulliel set to star in Marvel’s Moon Knight, died in a tragic skiing accident this week at age 37.

Ulliel was skiing in the Savoie region of the French Alps when he abruptly collided with a fellow skier on the slopes, resulting in the actor left unconscious before medics could arrive. French police are investigating the incident.

It’s Only the End of the World Director, Xaiver Dolan, gives his condolences via instagram.

Best known for his role as young Hannibal Lector in the 2007 film Hannibal Rising, and portraying fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent in the film Saint Laurent, as well as winning awards for his role in the French film It’s Only the End of the World. He has had a long career in both American and French cinema, recently gearing up to play in the new Marvel series Moon Knight, which is set to air on Disney plus in March.

On the same day of Gaspard’s passing, the first trailer for his final project Moon Knight was released to the public, in which he will play the comic book villain Midnight Man. This tragic set of circumstances lead French film lovers and comic book fans excited to see him enter the Marvel franchise incredibly heart broken.

Gaspard Ulliel was an extremely talented actor, who was beloved by his fans. His legacy as an actor and person will not go unnoticed.
