Deciding what to wear in the morning can be a stressful task for some people, mixing and matching colors, patterns , etc is really not an easy job. That’s why we all have one same problem, which is the feeling of “Nothing to wear”, even though we have tons of clothing in our wardrobe. Everything seems to clash with each other, nothing matches and none of your outfits catch your eyes.

If you’re one whose face the same problem, you better finish reading this article, cuz i’ll give you some tips and tricks on how to “Not be” stressful when choosing an outfit and for sure no need to shop, just using items that you already have. So, without further ado, Let’s just jump right in.

  1. Know your personal Style

When it comes to comfy and stylish outfit it all lays down to your comfort style, style that can show your personality yet always make you feel comfortable wearing it, so in order to choosing an outfit in easy way, you have to first know what’s your comfort style or personal style, then you can just add something to make it more stylish and fashionable.

  1. Organizing your wardrobe

After knowing your personal style, then make it simpler by organizing your wardrobe. It doesn’t just mean to make it look nice and tidy, but it also to declutter your wardrobe. I am pretty sure that you have some items that you haven’t worn for years. It can be because there’s something off when wearing it, whether it’s because of the sizing, the fit or just the color that makes you look pale and unpleasant. This step is gonna simplify your job to find fashion items that you’re looking for. And I recommend you to do this regularly, maybe every six month or once a year, therefore your wardrobe will consistently organize. So here i’ll give you some tips on organizing your wardrobe

  1. Know your skin undertone

“Wait, what?” yepp, you heard it right, cuz knowing your undertone means knowing what your colors are, colors that don’t clash on your skin. Color that makes you look more vibrant and gorgeous. Nailed this step first then next steps will run smoothly.

2. Choose your favorite items

After knowing what’s best on you by the color, then second thing is you have to choose items that make you feel confident and comfortable wearing them, choose items that you think look best on you. It can be the fit, cut, etc. whatever you wear it the most grab it.

3. Get rid of the un-used stuff

Succeeding picking your favorite item, the following steps is to get rid of stuff that you barely even touch, cuz believe me you’ll still not gonna wear them in the future. Afterwards, get rid of items that don’t fit you anymore, colors that clash on your skin (didn’t match with your undertone), and everything that you have no idea where to or occasion to wear it.

4. Categorize it

Last but not least is to categorize your outfit. Some people may sort it by the color range, but I don’t recommend this type of method if you’re someone that doesn’t have much time when choosing an outfit. However, categorizing your outfit based on the type of it can be better. Like dividing your shirt, dress and jeans for example, or dividing it by the occasion that you probably wear the clothes, like formal clothes, clothes for running errands, work clothes, etc.

2. Pick your go to item

*Bonus Tip* is to pick basic items ( like a white or plain shirt/tshirt, jeans, blazer, etc) that are easy to work with, this can be handy when you’re in a rush, and have no time to think of what you’re gonna wear. So you still look presentable and not running late.

3. Pre-Plan your outfit

Planning what you’ll be wearing the next day will save your morning time a lot! Cuz there’s no need to wake up and think about your OOTD, just do your skin care, make up and get ready to go! And for sure you’ll have a lot of time to think of what you wanna wear. And make sure to put it somewhere that easy to find

4. Create an Outfit formula

Another effortless way to choose an outfit is creating an outfit formula. Outfit formula is an outfit format, based on the type/fit of clothing you love. For example you love wearing a shirt with wide leg pants, then you can create a similar form with different color or maybe pattern. Create 3 or more formulas to adjust with your mood and occasion, so when you feel like there’s nothing to wear you can go with the template you already made.

5. Search for inspo

If you’re someone that gets bored easily with the form of outfit you’re usually wearing, and need something fresh but don’t wanna waste money to shop, then go look for some inspiration. It can be color combos inspo or anything. Just browse on the pinterest, influencers that frequently share their OOTDs or simply just look at random objects around you, cuz you might find some inspiration such as color combos or maybe mixing patterns, etc.

And there we have it, 5 tips to get over the “nothing to wear’ problem. And the most important thing is that being consistent doing it, particularly in organizing your closet cuz believe me, a neat wardrobe will change your life. I know it sounds super boring and tiring but once you do it, you’ll know how that feels and you’ll make it a priority. So hope these help, and see you in the next article!
