Climate change describes a change in the average conditions — such as temperature and rainfall — in a region over a long period- time. NASA scientists have observed Earth’s surface is warming, and many of the warmest years on record have happened in the past 20 years.

The current average temperature of the Earth’s atmosphere is around 15 degrees Celsius. But in the past, it was more or less than that. These fluctuations are natural. But scientists now fear that temperatures are rising faster than at any time in the past. Which has to do with the greenhouse effect.

This process of global warming is accompanied by climate change.

Causes of climate change

Global climate change is not only due to natural causes but also to man-made causes. In this article, “Global Climate Change” refers to climate change due to natural causes.

This phenomenon of environmental catastrophe due to climate change has been identified as a long-term problem in the National Environmental Management Action Plan (NEMAP) formulated by the Bangladesh Ministry of Forests and Environment in the nineties.

Whether a country is really affected by climate change is considered on four criteria:

1. Who is most affected by climate change?

2. Where natural disasters are happening more

3. Where most of the population is being affected

4. What steps has the affected country already taken to address the damage or adaptation?

What should we do to make our environment friendly:

1. The City needs to develop a well-planned forest.

2. We have to provide potable water for everyone.

3. Appropriate sewerage system should be developed.

4. We need to keep the environment around us clean and tidy.

5. More and more trees will have to be planted in government or private initiatives.

6. Natural resources need to be conserved and maintained and moderate use must be ensured.
