When we were building the product that I’m still working on today, we started with a short blog post where we described the product as it was already built. After initial interest from industry influencers, we opened pre-orders and decided to start building the product only if there would be enough people who needed it so much that they were going to pay for it in advance. And they did pay. This is when we knew we hit the sweet spot and built the product that is today, after 2 years, used by millions of users.
