Wallet is like a mini bag which has everything we need from money to our IDs and our cards. We carry our identities in our wallet every time we go somewhere. Hence, it becomes extremely important to take care of our wallet especially if we go to a new place. Our wallet is as much a convenience as it is our necessity. However, it is only human to lose our wallets. The important thing to remember is to be well prepared in advance in lieu of any such events. • Maintain a record:
Losing your wallet is bas but what is worse is not remembering what was in there. You must always keep a record of the things that you keep in our wallet so that you know exactly what you have lost when you lose it. Write down in your notebook or keep a memo in your phone which states everything you had in your wallet. This will also help you make the necessary calls as per the loss.

• Keep minimum cards with you:
If you have the habit of keeping all your cards with you, then change it. Keep only one or two cards with you. This will be easier to block if you lose your wallet. Also, avoid taking your credit card with you, because if you lose your debit card, no one can misuse it if they don’t know your pin but in case of credit cards, it can be misused. You should always try to carry only those cards that you use most often.

• File a report with the police:
If you have lost your wallet, the most important t thing to do is to file a police report as soon as possible. This will not only ensure credibility but also may help you get your wallet back. Further, if you want to get the documents that you have lost with your lost wallet, a photocopy of the FIR will be a must. Hence, it is completely essential to file a report with the police. Even if you are traveling in a new place, file a report with the local law enforcement. Make sure you take a copy of the report you file. This will also save you from the fraudulent activities on your account, if any.

• Make the calls:
As soon as you realize you have lost your wallet, make all the necessary calls. You have to make sure that you block all the cards that you have lost at the earliest possible. This will help you in making sure that your card is not being misused. Even if you get your wallet back, make sure you check with the bank statements to ensure that the cards were not used by anyone else other than yourself.
