Velocity Creatives, a full-service production company, announced today it’s “Find Your Wild” campaign featuring Patagonia has won six Silver and four Bronze awards in Promotional Video and Branded Content in the 40th Annual Telly Awards. The Telly Awards honors excellence in video and television across all screens and is judged by leaders from video platforms, television, streaming networks, and production companies including Vice, Vimeo, Hearst Digital Media, BuzzFeed and A&E Networks.

Inspired by the Patagonia brand, the “Find Your Wild” campaign embodies a spirit of adventure, expanding horizons, and living life to the fullest. The campaign’s narrative revolves around the theme of yearning for connection. The characters, who are caught up in the fast-paced daily grind of urban New York City, live parallel lives — even commuting on the same train — but never see each other. Until they both escape to the serenity of the outdoors, and are finally able to reconnect: to themselves, to nature, and to each other.

“This project was developed on spec, so it was an opportunity to apply my marketing expertise and flex my creative muscle,” said Velocity Creatives founder Natalie Schwan, an independent film director and producer, photographer, screenwriter, and musician. “What sets us apart is our breadth of service — from creative vision to technical execution — and our ability to connect a brand with its target audience through compelling visual stories. We’re honored that the Tellys recognized our work, and especially proud that we won every category that we submitted for.”

Set to original music and vocals by BoyChoir, a band comprised of Joel and Inga Roberts (backup vocalist for Lorde and M83), the video campaign evokes a mood of longing and discovery with the track “Wreck My Heart.” The sweeping outdoor scenes were filmed on location in Mont Tremblant, Canada.

The campaign consists of three videos, each winning Tellys:

The winner’s announcement capped a year-long celebration of the 40th Anniversary of The Telly Awards. Throughout 2018–2019, The Telly Awards celebrated four decades of honoring the video and television industry, whether through its inaugural international screening series or its online video interviews with industry experts. This year also saw the continued expansion of new categories further to the awards’ recent initiative to rebuild the honors for the multi-screen era. New categories included serialized Branded Content and expanded Social Video categories. Last year, The Telly Awards attracted more than 12,000 entries from top video content producers including Condé Nast, Netflix, Refinery29, RadicalMedia, T Brand Studio and Ogilvy & Mather.
