Basically, we’re both coming at this from a position of privilege — understanding the best of both worlds (simple language and the juicier stuff).

I think there’s huge value in itself of appreciating simplicity from an early age in life. If it’s not even addressed as an option, it’s an unknown. And that’s where the whole ‘dumbing down’ argument comes from.
