Off-Off-Broadway Theater

I couldn’t agree more with the words of one of the producers and critics who said that real theater happens only at Off-Off-Broadway Theater.

His words, so simple but brilliant, fully explain my love to Off-Off-Broadway Theater. Pure art- that’s what is going on at theaters of this type.Off-Off-Broadway Theater means no commercialism, it gives no limits to human imagination. What if the ideas of a playwright are too shocking for the audience to understand? It is not the end of the world. We are not at some commercial theater where every play simply must be profitable. We are at Off-Off-Broadway theater where people create things because art is their heart-felt need, because they want to expand the boundaries of knowledge, to break the system, and because theater for them is much more than just a way of earning for a living.
