Fire in her eyes

She sat on that red bench and read a book.

Life was beautiful and life was amazing.

Because at that moment she was happy.

She was in a peaceful place. She was doing what she loved.

Reading.

And travelling.

She was happy that something pushed her to go on that trip.

She wished she’d go earlier and spend more time at that foreign and yet so homelike country.

She wishes she hadn’t gone to bed so late and woken up early but it’s still ok.

She got to experience the beauty nevertheless.

It was perfection. The view was breathtaking and who cares that it took 3 hours to get there and 6 trains changes.

It was worth it.

Like life seems to be worth it sometimes.

Sometimes it isn’t, though.

Sometimes it brings you down and sometimes it makes you wanna die.

But not that day.

Not that day in the mountains.

When she was happy.

And nothing else mattered.

Except that she wanted to take her parents there someday.

Nothing else mattered.

She had herself and the most important people just a phone call away.

Did I mention the book?

Kinda a part of her at every point of her life.
