Ben and Tasha’s Adventures Down Under

Blue Mountains — Three Sisters (left)

Hello all! We are now safely in Australia!

We are really excited to be here and hope that this blog keeps some of you up to date with what is going on down under.

We arrived in Sydney on Sat 8th August. Our journey over was actually much more fun than either of us imagined as we got a FREE UPGRADE to business class which meant we were given champagne, three course meal and beds to lie flat on! It was great.

In Sydney we stayed with 2 friends, Jim and Steph who made us feel really welcome in Australia. They showed us the Sydney sights, took us out for breakfast, sympathised about our jet lag and had us to stay in their lovely apartment! Here are some pictures to give you an idea of what we got up to.

Perhaps some of the best news we have had since we arrived in Australia is that Tasha now has a visa to work here! After what felt like months of waiting the visa came through in record time! It was all a very complicated process to get one so we have been very grateful to God as it means that we can both officially work here! Ben started work today (15th Aug) and Tasha starts in a week!

After spending 5 days in Sydney, we caught a flight to Canberra- our home for the next 12 months. We can’t wait to tell you all about it as so far it has been a lot of fun but that will have to wait for another day! Here is a sneaky preview of what we have been up to though…

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
