I often think that people fail to see the downside of a missed opportunity. We’re far too optimistic when we talk about our pasts, but the same can’t be said about our present. There’s always a positive outlook to how things might have turned out should they have gone the way you planned them in your head. What you fail to see is the bad that might have come off a certain opportunity. So while the cloud of doubt pours over the past, there’s a cloud of hope still floating around in the present hoping you’ll get a hold on it.
Missed opportunities often spiral from a lack of being more present and decisive in our dealings with people. So while the past is done and dusted, there’s more to look forward to right now. To make the most of every moment before they become memories of the past.
