Hypocrisy Much, Hastert?

Dennis Hastert is an admitted serial child molester. Many articles have started off on his political accomplishments over the years but now that his dirty secret of sexually abusing several boys while he was their wrestling coach, his tags and bylines as a politician are just hogwash. Sure, he was the 51st speaker of the house and a republican politician from Illinois. However, it was during his political years that he found ways to try and hide the “hush money” which was paid to one of the abused individuals. It was also during this time that he touted himself as a defender of child welfare.

In recent days, several of his cronies and his wife tried to beg for leniency on his behalf at sentencing — yes, at the sentencing of an admitted serial child molester.

Hastert and several of the same cronies is also member of the political party who vows to rid the world of predators and child abusers by ensuring that transgender people select a public restroom based on their genitalia, not on their identified gender through a proposed bill that promotes widespread discrimination based on race, religion, color, national origin, biological sex, handicap, etc. You know, all of those things that being on the right side of history has moved past in many states and in the federal realm…

The victims will most likely never be whole human beings who live in a world of love and trust. These boys will most likely view the world from a distorted lens however, I wish them the best of love and luck in moving past the abuse and I wish upon Hastert, all that he deserves.
