“I’m really good at waking up every day…”

There are times, Mr. Yoder, where this is all I feel I can do.

I’m not into sports too much other than for simple in-the-moment entertainment value. But I am a student of business and an entrepreneur who’s brain has created the very same chemicals, induced by the very same experiences yours has.

Just wanted you to know that I’m rooting for you.

There are thousands of us, successfully breaking even every month. Not taking salaries, who’s families and friends would give us everything they have, but they have nothing. VC? We can’t even spell it. We’re too busy selling our product and serving our hard-fought customers to sell our company.

Although all we may have in common is tenacity and a well-exercised fight-or-flight response system, I just felt like letting you know that as one who decided to leave a well-paying sales job working for EMC nearly nine years ago and move back to his roots in the decidedly unsexy service sector with an idea to bring tech with me, I am standing with you. Arms locked…”300-style”.

I’m still going. Still struggling. I find myself at a point where the width of a tightrope separates success and failure. On one side of the tightrope is oblivion and on the other Valhalla. Gravity and momentum are merely influencers when the largest, most exercised muscle in your being is willpower.

I’ve seen oblivion and I don’t want it. I want nothing to do with it, but I don’t know that I want to fall into the comforting arms of success either. I just want to get to the other side.

Your new fan and friend in work,

NAB
