Why You’re The Best Dad In The World

For a man, there’s nothing more difficult than being a rock star father. There’s no playbook. But there certainly are thousands of books that claim to be. After reading maybe 5 pages of my first “how to” baby book, I tossed it aside and realized “Shit, I’m winging this thing.”

Sure, there are the basics like don’t let your kid lick the light sockets, swallow rocks or drink toilet water (apparently sticking hands in it is inevitable in my house.) But besides the obvious, you just roll with it and do your best with what you’re currently equipped with.

“people are doing the best that they can from their own level of consciousness.” -Deepak Chopra

When a new experience arises it causes you to raise your game. You don’t know what to do when this happens. But you figure it out. Everyday you become a little better. Because you’re a bad ass that adapts to change…………..quickly!

Every time you hit the gym, meditate, read an article..any article, hug your wife, hug your child, write and learn, you are leveling up and allowing yourself to do better.

Being a great dad isn’t about doing things for your child. It’s about becoming a better you.

The moment you stop working on YOU, you are no longer the best dad in the world. You are simply a sell-out.

If you don’t have the time to read, exercise, meditate, grow…..create the time. If you don’t read, start reading or listening to audio books or podcasts. If you’re not exercising, start. If you don’t meditate, try it out. If you feel stuck, do whatever you can to unstick.

Be the best dad in the world. Everyone is depending on you to be.
