War in Wakanda

NIDAVELLIR

Thor looks determined about his decision, and he calls upon the old gods to accompany him in doing the unthinkable task.

“All fathers, give me strength.”

“You understand, boy?” Eitri, the mythical dwarf, doubts his inevitability and adds, “You’re about to take the full force of a star. It’ll kill you.”

“Only if I die.” Thor is no way retreating from this behemoth task.

Thor pulls the crammed handles of the machinery. The unyielding arms of the unit show tough match that it pushes Thor to use his full thew over the jammed thing. His nerves are now literally prone to breakage. However, the effort is not entirely vain. The eye of the star steadily unlatches on the other end. The violent beam of blazing light passes through the torso of Thor, agonizing him; then, through the trough, heat capacitors, and other ignition mechanisms.

Not able to believe his own eyes, “Hold it! Hold it, Thor!” alarms the dumbfounded Eitri, sighting the miracle. Meanwhile, metal in the main container begins to melt.

Thor strives hard to hold the crippled device in lethal pain. His scream echoes throughout the whole realm of Nidavellir. He’s fighting with death to fight death.

The metal is now fully melted. But on the other end, Thor is blacking out. Eitri discloses the outlet to let the molten metal flow into the framework. Thor falls flat and is thrown by the force of the star. Rocket, from the launchpad, tries to grab hold of Thor but, it’s too late. Thor hits a chunk of masonry and loses consciousness. Groot senses the tremor with the video game still in his hands. Rocket jumps out of the launchpad to grab Thor.

“Thor! Say something. Come on.”

Not a word. On the other side, Eitri is breaking the mold from the framework.

“Thor, you okay?” Rocket worries and calls Eitri for help.

“I think he’s dying.”

“He needs the ax!”. Eitri knows what Thor badly needs at the moment, his only life savior.

“Where’s the handle?” Eitri could not find the handle and commands Groot for a hand.

“Tree, help me find the handle!”

Finally, as if a spark has got into his head, Groot realizes that it’s his responsibility to bring back the situation under control. But, he does not search for the missing handle. Instead, his eyes search for something else. Now that his eyeballs are focused, he goes straight towards the two pieces of the still-red-hot metalhead, picks them up, and binds them with his bare hand. Groot is in appalling pain as he’s holding the heated element by himself. Groot shape-shifts his other hand to look it more like the Olympian blades of Athena and cuts off his other hand.

The weapon is now primed ready and waiting for its righteous man. The history has a name for it: Storm-breaker, the legend says. Not very late, glints of lighting sparkle in the hand of the dying Thor.

WAKANDA

“There’s too many of them!” Bruce within Hulk-buster suit, squawks.

War is brewing. With every minute worsening than the one before it, Wakanda is deteriorating to become a failed state. Even the elite Wakandan warriors are beaten and crushed to death by the bloodsucking Outriders. Blasters firing. And spears pounding the flesh, the whole open turf is now a war zone.

Okoye struggles to keep up with the blood-sucking gigantic creatures. Her teary reddish eyes speak volumes that this was not something they were trained for. Black Panther’s Vibranium suit exhibits no power either. Hulk-buster is busted and ripped off to the ground by a dozen. Inside the suit, Bruce shouts in dreadfulness and desperation. Few yards away, Captain America falls as prey to the mad dogs as no exception.

As the last of lingering hope slowly slides away from the Earth’s mightiest heroes, a heavenly light from the sky, blasts, and trespasses through the Force Field like the one from Bifrost. The snowy white luminescence bleaches the surrounding area to a plethora of hues and tints.

There’s chaos building up everywhere. Especially amidst the outriders.

All a sudden, Storm-breaker fiercely plunges through the portal that nearly upshots in a supersonic boom. Storm-breaker swirls around the war region, creating non-natural thunder slashes and massive tidal waves of lightning that ripples over a vast extent of area, smashing everything that comes in its way to dust and nothing.

Not much later, an angelic figure with the might of a demigod, Thor lands on Wakanda with Rocket and Groot. All three join the combat. The raging and the intense-looking Storm-breaker springs back to Thor’s hand like a boomerang that would gently surge back to its rightful owner.

Seeing Thor back to the pavilion, Cap shoves a “Whoa! Yeah, my man.” look.

Bruce opens the headpiece of the Hulk-buster and shouts out loud like a frenzied fanboy, “Guys, you’re so screwed now!”

Yet, Thor keeps the whole happening low, subtle, and aside as possible. Thor doesn’t seem to be good at all.

There’s a loss in his despair. There’s justice in his vengeance. There’s vigor in his strength. There’s rage in his ferocity.

He well knows that this is no place for hard feelings. He has now got a job to do. Well, he’s on it. All he now needs is just the big daddy to play with his new toy, Storm-breaker. He does not care about the rest. All others are no match for him.

Thor shows up everyone out there what he’s in real! Thor rudely, maddeningly stomps and leaps towards the remaining bits and pieces of the outriders; screaming to the fullest,

“Bring me, Thanos!”
