You, Me and Coffee makes Three

Tonight was made for you and me with a small cup of coffee

November is the season of apple cider, brisk evening talks, southern pecan pie, pumpkin spice, and doggy walks.

There are many people, that during this windy season, can be seen indulging in all of the above and more. In addition, to these delightfully delicious points of interest, is the front runner of the group.

If you guessed coffee as the leader of the pack, you are correct.

Coffee cake, apple cider donut coffee, melted marshmallow coffee, maple coffee, and bourbon pecan torte coffee, just to name a few are what’s new and trending. What a sweet list.

Some of the flavors make it hard for you to wrap your head around. However, I believe that once you’ve had a mere sip of any one of these radical names, you’ll be in love. Or, mildly intrigued to say the least. Personally, I have yet to taste either the bourbon pecan torte or melted marshmallow blend.

Most recently there have been reports of Starbucks releasing a (non-coffee) drink named Toasted Marshmallow Hot Chocolate. One could say they have no grounds here.

For many years, I have often looked forward to the freshly created desserts, coffee flavors, and even clothing styles, since I am an avid lover of coffee and conversation. Since all three of these categories can take a prominent role in Autumn, it is only natural that stylishly warm, and snuggly clothing become a dominant factor on this crisp clipboard of multiple choice.

Perfect examples would be Pac Sun, Venus, and Abercrombie & Fitch. This year I must give credit where credit is due that all three clothing retailers have really “pulled it out of the hat” in terms of style, comfort, and color. As I peruse the styles online, I imagine me and my lady sporting them as we casually walk downtown Pittsburgh on a brisk evening, sipping hot flavored coffees.

There is something that cannot be fully explained about having an evening out on the town in November. One could say it’s an emotion that only comes but twice a year. (The other being Christmas.)

A longing to be with your significant other, as you both ogle the lavish buildings that are lit top to bottom with colorful lights. Holding hands as you stroll down a cobblestone street, the sumptuous scent of a local restaurant preparing a meal that takes your senses on a roller coaster of pleasure and intoxication. In short, men you know your in for a treat when you find your arm being tugged in an attempt to stop inside a local cafe for a bite.

Moreover, I would be remiss if I did not complete this blog without passing on this vital key point.

According to HuffPost.com, there are many more coffee blends and flavors other than the mainstream pumpkin spice that you must try before the end of fall 2019. Here is a short list of mixed coffee drinks that are an absolute must to taste:

· Orange Cardamom Latte

· Honey Coffee

· Maple Blondie

· Hot Butterbeer Latte

At the end of the day, whether you prefer coffee, tea, hot chocolate, or even a mere double shot of espresso, fall is the season to go walking hand in hand into the city and admire the Autumn colors, lights, sights, sounds, and smells.
