My favourite example now is that of Galen Erso in the Star Wars film Rogue One where Galen does have ethical objections but continues his involvement in order to ensure the Death Star is built with an exploitable flaw. Obviously in that case the client does have malicious objectives, but at least staying involved can lead to a better (even if still somewhat harmful) outcome than if you ran away.
