Friendship Ruined After Country Music Concert

On Saturday, July 25th, teenagers Elissa Brown and Melanie Goodman wore the same outfit to a local country music concert, leading to a suspension of their friendship.

DALLAS, TX — Sources confirm that the long-time friendship of Elissa Brown and Melanie Goodman is currently on hold after both local teenagers reportedly wore the same outfit to last night’s country music concert.

“I literally don’t even know where we honestly stand right now”, stated Brown, clearly upset over Goodman’s decision to sport a flannel, black crop top, jean shorts, boots, and cowboy hat to the event. “Out of a million things to wear, she just had to wear the same thing? Ridiculous” she added.

Goodman and Brown met in sophomore English class and instantly bonded. Their teacher, Mrs. Dolores Carpenter, notes, “I knew that those girls were each other’s ‘ride or dies’ the moment they sat next to each other in class”. Students at Rio Mesa High School are disappointed that the friendship appears unsalvageable, but understand where the hurt is coming from. “I mean, I would be angry too”, commented fellow classmate Jessica Williams, “What are the odds that someone else at a country music concert would be wearing a flannel and black crop top? You probably have a better chance getting eaten by a shark or stuck by lightning.”

Goodman and Brown have not been on speaking terms since the conclusion of last night’s concert. “Sure, we took an Instagram picture and I let her sip out of my Pepsi cup filled with Fireball, but the whole night I was just devastated” said Goodman.

“The worst part is I don’t even like country music”, she reported at press time.
