Hey Sherman! Parts of this article resonate with me, especially your thoughts on the line between healthcare innovation and clinical applicability. For me, one big reason why I want to pursue medicine is to be able to help bridge that gap — to be able to have the skills and knowledge to more accurately gauge the impact of health tech and other innovation from a more patient-centered mindset. My thoughts are that both doctors and engineers have to work together at this intersection to be able to do what is ultimately best for the patient. Engineers provide the innovation and the skill set to continue developing; doctors provide the knowledge and skill set to more clearly see the impact on the patient.
