A Few Photos From My European Trip

In 2012 I managed to get away from work for almost seven weeks, and spent some time in Europe with my girlfriend. I never really got around to sharing many photos from that trip, so I thought I’d use that as an excuse to break the gap I’ve had from posting here.

In no particular order here’s a small selection of shots, all taken on my 5DMKII and the 50mm ƒ/1.4 prime that I limited myself to on the trip.

The photo above was taken after we had to change from a train to a bus because of a landslide somewhere between the Italian/Swiss border and Zurich. Even though our travel plans got completely hijacked, we still ended up getting to Luzern earlier than we would have planned. Couldn’t say we’d have had the same experience here with Sydney’s public transport.

The next photo took about 30 attempts to get right, as I was packing light and had to use a Joby Gorillapod resting against an uneven bridge. I’m really happy how it came out considering.

There are plenty more, but for whatever reason I think these were my favourites.
