
… city itself remains one of the most segregated in the nation, what I’m finding since last year’s events is a willingness to talk to each other. What I’m hoping we can continue to do is capitalize on the momentum for change and get all of our communities involved in neighborhood cleanup, becoming more active within our schools and being a leader where we live. I find that there are so many people who lost a sense of pride — even hope — within the city. What I’m looking forward to is working my hardest to keep the conversations going and getting our neighbors in the street for action, not just in protest for Mr. Gray but for everyone just try…
