The Shining City upon a Hill

An endless restlessness characterizes the American Spirit. This is an America that constantly critiques itself. My perspective is that this striving to be better is what keeps America great.

Which is why “Make America great again” does not define us — America is a striving, an effort. Greatness is never achieved in the reaching of a destination but is realized in the struggle to get there. It is this journey that we need to cherish. Surely not the return to a place where we were at some past moment.

A real masterpiece is never accomplished; it is never complete, there is always the part that can be better.

The America that I love is one such masterpiece. A constant evolution.

Let us all remember never to stop building that shining city on the hill.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
