Stewardship is the cutting edge

My gut feeling is that entrepreneurship is not the cutting edge of business anymore. Stewardship is. An entrepreneur might at best solve some ‘problem’, and make a lot of money in the process. Social entrepreneurship is less about the profits, but is still geared towards addressing specific needs/problems in the community.

A steward generates immeasurable wealth, momentum and insight. They are two different paradigms. Money can be quantified. Health, growth and well-being cannot. Stewardship transcends and includes economics and pragmatics, but sets its sights much further. It is a service to the whole and not merely the parts.

Entrepreneurship is exploiting the opportunity. Stewardship is hearing the call.
