Why Wally West is the most likable speedster?

Now, I know that Wally aka kid flash is not the original Flash but there is something about his character that entices me more than other speedsters like The Flash, Impulse, and one of the biggest menaces of DC, Eobard Thawne better known as Reverse Flash.

Although I won’t cover much about Wally West since he has been in the original Justice League series as the ‘Flash’ and also in the live-action series The Flash. Here, I’d be talking on the basis of the ‘Young Justice’ series since I find it most likable among all the other content by DC, presenting him.

Here Wally West gained his powers in the same way as Barry Allen, the original Flash did. he was drenched in chemicals and was struck by lighting. When Barry got to know about him, they both agreed on Wally being the sidekick to The Flash so as to learn and control his powers better.

Wally, being the ‘Kid Flash’, was one of the founding members of ‘The Teen Titans’ alongside Nightwing who was then Robin, Aqualad, and superboy.

Later in the story of Young Justice, our Kid Flash found his true love in the form of Artemis. Sometime after they both decided to step away from the lifestyle of being a superhero to focus on themselves and surprisingly, got degrees to be professors. Later in the series, it is also revealed that Wally wanted to name their child Wolf…….. I mean how cute is that!!!!!!

Since I don’t want to spoil the young Justice series for y’all, I would just say Wally was no more after season 2, maybe he died or maybe he was trapped in the speed force if DC wants to bring him back; but for now, there are no updates of Season 5. *sigh*

According to the comics, Wally was trapped in the speed force for a Decade, during that time he was able to connect to the speed force better than any other speedster rendering him the powers to jump through space, time, and dimensions like a child’s play, making him the fastest and greatest speedster of all time.

He was able to make contact with Barry, during the final battle of justice league against Darkseid because of some disturbance in the timeline, and Barry was successfully able to pull him out of the speed force.

The reason I wrote my first post about Kid Flash is that I, seriously want DC to BRING HIM BACK!!!!!! But, dejectedly there is no current announcement regarding the release of any other animated movie of The Flash or S5 of Young Justice, but hope is there, I would love to see him back in DC animations. Since, there is a lot of and I seriously mean it, a lot of great stuff out there, including Wally, hidden from our eyes as live actions and animations…
