Inspiring story of Jill Bolte Taylor

On December 10, 1996 Jill Bolte Taylor had a stroke, a blood vessel in her brain exploded. As a brain specialist she had been able to experience her brain functions fold down one by one. Later she could not speak, read, write, recognize or remember anything from her life. She experienced a massive stroke at the age of 37.
She had undertaken a major brain surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital in the year of 1996, December 27th to get rid of golf-ball sized clot in the left hemisphere of her brain. She spent 8 years trying to recover and later was successfully able to think, talk and walk.

The 8 years journey was not so easy; those were the hardest time in her life, relearning the entire things of her life. Following her experience she wrote a book entitled “My Stroke of Insight” , which includes her journey recovering from the stroke and intuitions she had gained into the workings of her brain.

Taylor’s is one of the most inspiring story, something that could teach us of the hardships that life could throw at us and how we could overcome them with determination and grit.
