Before you apply for a student visa for Canada

You require an acceptance letter from a university recognised as a Designated Learning Institution by a province or territorial government before you can apply for a student visa to study in Canada, commonly known as a Canada Study Permit (DLI).

This is especially useful for an overseas student like you to make sure you enrol in an approved institution rather than some sham college that offers transcripts and certificates that aren’t even valid for college.

Going back to the subject, you must provide the school’s DLI number in your study permission application.
