Solving the issue of ADPList Mentorship Incentivization Challenge — UX Showdown Mission-I
The challenge is to design a user experience or add features to the platform that incentivizes mentors to provide mentorship on ADPList beyond just monetary compensation. The problem is that the platform needs to attract mentors and encourage them to participate actively in the mentorship program.
Feature: Community Chat Groups
Community chat groups are online groups within a community platform where members can engage in real-time conversations and discussions on specific topics or interests. These chat groups can be public or private, allowing community members to join, network, and share their ideas and experiences with each other.
Proposed Solution: Allow mentors to create communities for their mentees.
The mentor's community chat group feature allows mentors to create private groups within the platform, where their mentees can join and communicate with each other and the mentor. The feature is integrated with the message page and allows mentors to set the chat settings to either “Only admins can send the message” or “Everyone can send the message.
The Why?
The mentor's community chat group feature is important for Adplist because it allows mentors and mentees to connect and engage with each other in real-time. This feature fosters a sense of community and support among the members of the Adplist platform, which can lead to greater engagement, participation, and satisfaction with the mentorship program.
- The mentors in Adplist can share various resources, such as blogs, social media posts, newsletters, and course subscription plans, with their community chat group.
- The ability of mentors to build a trusted community within Adplist can serve as a motivating factor for their active engagement in community activities.
- Mentors can build stronger relationships with their mentees, as they are able to communicate and collaborate more frequently and effectively.
- This can lead to more targeted and personalized mentorship, as mentors are able to understand their mentees’ needs and goals more deeply and provide more relevant advice and support.
- Mentors on Adplist can share invitations to group discussions with their community chat group.
In addition, this feature can also help mentors to save time by providing a central place for communication and collaboration with their mentees, rather than having to communicate with each mentee individually. It can also promote greater accountability among mentees, as they are able to see and interact with each other’s progress and support one another.
Overall, the mentor's community chat group feature is an important tool for promoting engagement, collaboration, and support among the mentors and mentees of the Adplist platform, which can lead to tremendous success and satisfaction in the mentorship program.

- Photo, document, link sharing options in the chat.
- Settings for message moderation.

Target Audience:
The target audience for the design is mentors who are experienced in design and want to share their knowledge and expertise with others. The design should also consider the needs of potential mentees who may be searching for mentors on the platform.
Success Metrics:
- The number of active mentors and mentees: The number of mentors and mentees who have created or joined community chat groups can indicate the level of engagement and interest in this feature.
- Frequency of communication: The frequency of messages and posts in the chat groups can indicate the level of activity and engagement among members.
- Retention rate: The retention rate of mentors and mentees who have joined chat groups can indicate the effectiveness of this feature in promoting engagement and satisfaction with the mentorship program.
- Mentor feedback: The feedback provided by mentors on the usefulness and effectiveness of the chat groups can provide valuable insights into the impact of this feature on their ability to provide effective mentorship.
