Acts of leadership

Proactive decision making

I have been taking a decision analysis course online. The course is great and I am learning a ton. But what I did not expect was the philosophical, management and leadership undertones of this course.

Consider the following:

  1. What is the right decision for you to be making right now?
  2. Seize the opportunity to make big decisions. Decisions are opportunities to be proactive. Declare a decision today.
  3. Quick decisions vs. Significant decisions vs. Strategic decisions
  4. Are you a quick decision maker? Or a meticulous decision maker? Can you be both?
  5. A high quality decision is not perfect, but timely.
  6. Decisions are always forward looking.
  7. Decisions are not outcomes.

Does any of this resonate with you?
