Vintage Estate Homes Teams Up With the Wounded Hero Home Program
Based in New Braunfels, Texas, Dean Buescher guides Vintage Estate Homes and oversees custom residential developments that feature high-end luxury homes. Community focused, Dean Buescher and the Vintage Estate team joined together in 2015 in building a residence for retired Marine Corps Master Sergeant Blaine Scott.
Deployed in Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2004, MSgt. Scott served as a platoon sergeant within the 3rd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion. Despite suffering severe injuries from an IED explosion in Rawah, Iraq, he remained with the Marines following 18 months of recovery. Prior to retiring in 2015, MSgt. Scott held leadership responsibilities with the Wounded Warrior Battalion-East, San Antonio Military Medical Center Detachment and oversaw wounded and ill patients’ care and transition.
In honor of these dedicated years of service, the Wounded Hero Home Program has coordinated a project that involves Copper Ridge discounting the build lot and Vintage Estate Homes donating project management capacities. In addition, suppliers and other subcontracting parties have provided materials and labor for the home to go forward at a discounted rate. A Specially Adapted Housing grant through the VA has ensured that this four-bedroom house fully meets the needs of a burn victim, including a bathroom accessible to those with disabilities.
