DraftKings DFS Week 8

Both lineups almost cashed last week but lineup #2 fell just short by 2 points. Lineup #1 tallied 140 points and was able to cover my buy-in for both lineups last week. The Wilson/Baldwin pairing was clutch along with huge 20+ point games from both McCoy and Landry. This lineup did so well, in fact, that it cashed even with Eric Decker contributing a big fat goose egg.

Lineup #1 (Sunday/ 9 games)

I’m going to be honest. I don’t feel that confident in either of these lineups with only 9 games to choose from. Contrarian and value picks are harder to come by, but this is DFS after all so WHO KNOWS!? This week I’m pairing Brees/Thomas at home against the Bears. The Bears defense is decent, but that duo is better. McCoy will look to continue his dominant fantasy performances this week. My contrarian plays of Blount and Lafell will hopefully pay out. Blount is getting a solid 14 touches a game and only two touchdowns this year. Philly should be ahead in this game which means more touches for the backfield. The Bengals are up against a horrible Colts pass defense which means LaFell should get at least 5 targets from Andy Dalton this week. Mixon and Jackson are my value guys this week, but this lineup encompasses one too many “hopefully”s than I would usually like.

Lineup #2 (Sunday/ 9 games)

New England’s pass defense is second to last in the NFL and Rivers is an unusually underrated commodity. I’m loving the pairing of him and Allen to put up gigantic points and potentially leave Foxborough with a win. I’m looking for Freeman to get back on the horse after a disappointing week last week. Agholor has been lighting it up recently, so there’s definitely a chance he has a career day against a bad 49er’s defense. Benjamin is a clear volume play since the Buc’s passing defense struggles as well.
