I will never understand Ohio, or the people who keep voting against their own interests again and again and again. I lived for 12 years in northeast Ohio, nine of them in a crappy little town called Alliance (probably about the same size as Elyria, although I think Elyria at least got to be a suburb of Cleveland).

Whenever I got back to visit I always feel a little claustrophobic. Youngstown was the shithole of Ohio, now it’s Lima on the western side, with the distinction of being one of the worst and most crime-ridden cities in the US.

And, they’re a bunch of Tea Partying Trump voters who fight hard to keep themselves in their place.
