Trump’s Loyalty Demands Are About His Agenda— Not His Ego

The mainstream media, the democrat party, and never Trump Republicans are in an uproar over The President’s recent public statements regarding Attorney General Jeff Sessions. President Trump admitted he was disappointed with Sessions for recusing himself from the Russia investigation, being soft on crimes committed by democrats, and not being aggressive prosecuting government employees leaking information to the media.

One of the main narratives circling the situation between Trump and Sessions is the idea that this is yet another example of President Trump’s huge ego, and his need to surround himself with yes men who don’t share differing opinions. For democrats chasing political points instead of the truth, this is fuel for their fire. Suddenly everyone on TV is defending Jeff Sessions, though just a few short months ago he was just as racist, xenophobic, and homophobic as the rest of the Republican party.

I’ll give credit where credit is due. I believe the mainstream media is right. The spat between President Trump and Jeff Sessions is 100% about loyalty.

There have also been other times throughout the campaign and even into his administration where the President has demanded those on his staff pledge and prove their loyalty. I also believe President Trump will continue to demand loyalty going forward.

But it’s not about loyalty to Trump personally. It’s about loyalty to his base, their platform, and remaining true to the message that gave him the privilege of being elected President.

That’s where the mainstream media is wrong. It’s not about ego, it’s about keeping promises to the American people.

When the President asks for loyalty, he’s asking for loyalty to mission. He’s reminding his administration that he didn’t come to Washington to promise big changes and then give up because of the reality of being surrounded by “the swamp”. When Trump asks for loyalty from Sessions, he’s reminding him that they weren’t sent to Washington by millions of voters to investigate made up crimes by Republicans, but ACTUAL crimes we’ve watched go uninvestigated for years.

In November we elected one person to represent the entire authority of the Executive Branch of government. Trump has not only the constitutional right to align every employee of the executive branch with his vision, he MUST continue to make this a priority in order to fulfill his mandate. Allowing employees of the executive branch to actively subvert the President is criminal when looking at constitutional intent. The actions taken by some executive employees absolutely amounts to a soft coup attempt.

We sent President Trump to Washington to drain the swamp, protect our borders, and bring jobs to America. Every person that works for his administration must remain 100% committed to fulfilling those promises, despite whatever wild goose chases creatures of the swamp are fixated on.

The President should continue demanding 100% loyalty out of all executive employees. It’s never been about loyalty to Trump because of ego, it’s about loyalty to the millions of American’s who believe in the Trump platform and are expecting to see results.
