Our Corporate Policies at Mimir

Early stage startups have limited money and I understand a startup that has “unlimited vacation” early on. For a lot of people at the startup this is going to be “very little vacation”.

What I really dislike is “unlimited vacation” for a company that has the resources for paid vacation. This is just a way to get around the vacation liability.

Kudos to Mimir for having “two weeks to infinity” vacation where people are encouraged to take at least two weeks.

The only thing that I’d add is that the CEO needs to take this two week vacation too. Otherwise other people may be uncomfortable taking vacation. Plus, it’s good for the CEO to have some time to catch their breath.
