One of the mistakes that people sometimes make about elections, especially Presidential elections, is that they are won by argument. Election are won by emotional appeal. Demagoguery. And Trump is a master at this.

Trump voters will be won over by showing that Trump is an unacceptable candidate. For example, by showing that Trump’s bankruptcies hurt small business owners, not just huge banks. Show a small businesses that was driven under because they could not collect the tens of thousands of dollars they were owed by a Trump business that went bankrupt.

Instead of making an argument about gender discrimination, show a woman who doesn’t get equal pay or who gets fired because of her gender or pregnancy. Show the family that she supports and the hardship that results.

Instead of arguing against Trump’s campaign against Latino people, talk about a US citizen of Latino background who has been stopped in Arizona and arrested because he can’t prove that he’s a US citizen (most of us don’t carry around birth certificates or passports).

Show people images of a crashed US economy that would result from Trump’s proposal to not honor US debut at 100/cents on the dollar.

Argument does not work. You will never win anyone over. Images and emotion will win. It always has. Give people a reason to fear a Trump presidency and he will go down in defeat. Fail at this and there will be a President Trump.
