The problem here is that Lyons describes the Hubspot culture as something akin to a cult where anyone who is not sufficiently “Hubspotty” is in danger of being fired.

To someone who knows nothing about Hubspot, beyond what they’ve read in Lyons book, this post is what would be expected from someone who has been a successful part of Hubspot’s culture.

Yeah, I know. Catch-22. But the only way to really rebut what Lyons has written is to address the issues he raises. I suspect that those issues are very uncomfortable ones that Hubspot is unlikely to address publicly (or at all).
