You’re assuming that the only path to success is supplanting Facebook. I agree that this is unlikely while Facebook maintains it’s current vibrancy. However, a niche social network that differentiates itself from Facebook, with a fraction of Facebook’s users, can still be a success. Or at least that’s my contention.
