Great article.. thanks, Sherman! Reminds me of the “Buy a pair, share a pair” model of Warby Parker. I’ve heard critiques that it disincentivizes and undermines local entrepreneurship, but it’s perhaps along the right thinking.

I think a big issue is the government subsidization of unhealthy foods, thanks to the lobbying of Big Sugar and fast food chains. Subsidizing fresh food would not only help lower income people, but could stimulate growth in agriculture, too.
