Gamers are now able to trade any game asset from Crypto Space Commander within a newly launched in-game marketplace. This first version of the marketplace allows transactions using in-game currencies GFC and GRP. Game studio Lucid Sight already announced that transactions using Ethereum and other cryptocurrencies will come in the coming weeks.

The marketplace allows players to sell both unique non-fungible tokens and regular game items, like resources. Players can sell items through a sales contract or by filling up an order. At the same time they can buy items from the market at a certain price, or place an order for a certain product paid with a certain currency.

Future versions of the marketplace will provide more data about sales history, have a news interface about the latest transactions, and contract will get an expiration date. Further down the line Lucid Sight will add auctions, and they will give API access to the public. This means third party tools and websites can use live in-game data.

What is Crypto Space Commander a.k.a. CSC?

Crypto Space Commander is a sandbox space MMO in which players mine items to own them, battle each other, trade and explore the galaxy. Whether players will be traders, farmers or pirates is all up to them.

This space MMO is still under heavy development. Future updates will include crafting, guild management and colonist game mechanics. Over time Lucid Sight also wants to add persistence, which would mean that players can truly lose items. You can find CSC on Steam.

Last year the game studio did an auction for in-game space ships. They managed to gather 135 thousand dollars by selling Star Trek-themed space ships. Other earlier auctions already got the studio 79 thousand dollars, while the sale of in-game items and loot crates is still on-going.
