Visiting virtual worlds like Cryptovoxels will potentially be done using a personal, digital passport that works across game worlds and unifies wallets, wearables and friend lists. New Zealand-based developer Ben Nolan has that idea in mind. Most people know him for his work on Cryptovoxels, one of the biggest blockchain-powered virtual worlds on the market.

By selling 3026 parcels and making one million dollars in revenue in just two years, many claim Cryptovoxels is already a success story. But Nolan has much bigger ambitions for his virtual world. Currently the crypto art community has a home inside Cryptovoxels.

Nolan loves the activity that’s going on in the art community. ‘It’s been such a joy seeing the art in-world’. But the New Zealand-based developer originally wanted games and all kinds of cooperative functionalities in his virtual world. But ‘it’s just a longer journey’, he told Play to Earn. He expected his world to be much more interactive.
