Somnium Space portal within Cryptovoxels (Twitter/Somnium Space)

Interoperability or the possibility to connect two different virtual worlds seamlessly, is moving one step closer to reality because developers actually embrace the concept. The developers behind Somnium Space have claimed a parcel within Cryptovoxels to build a teleportation portal between the two blockchain-powered virtual worlds. The announcement came just moments after our publication of an interview with Cryptovoxels’ Ben Nolan about the potential of a digital passport.

Nolan replied to the announcement of Somnium Space by saying he ‘will have to build a portal back the other way’. Sebastien Borget from The Sandbox also jumped in on the discussion about a digital passport. He said:

“It’s great seeing Cryptovoxels, Somnium Space and The Sandbox share a common vision of an interoperable metaverse. There should be no boundaries in the virtual space, different worlds can connect together”
