Idle role playing game Knight Story is launching on the Tron blockchain this week. The Tron Foundation revealed these plans on Twitter, and announced a free digital gift to those who pre-register. The mobile game will introduce three new knights exclusive to Tron. Their names are Terry, Robin and Xenia, in reference to Tron’s native token TRX.

Knight Story is already available for Android and iOS devices. Currently the game is running only on the Ethereum blockchain. In the game players can obtain resources, create weapons and armor, and sell these on a public marketplace. Game studio Biscuit Labs makes money from selling in-game currencies, including tokens required to export items and sell them on the marketplace.

In Knight Story players need to make their knights stronger to defeat waves of enemies. Since this week the game also introduced a boss mechanic, in which players need to help each other to defeat a very strong enemy. Not all items are on the blockchain. Players can move items to the blockchain by buying and using a special token.

On a weekly basis there’s approximately 20 to 25 ETH worth of trading volume in Knight Story’s digital items. That means there’s at least 2500 dollars of trade, with an average price of 0.03 ETH…
