Perfectly sane characters talking to ghost characters without consequences is one of my biggest pet peeves and I’m starting to see it popping up in TV more than I’d like to. It’s lazy storytelling. The conversation with GhostAngela could’ve worked perfectly well as a soliloquy, like Ghost’s soliloquy at Reyna’s grave. Speaking of which, why did we need two Reyna reflection scenes? Why did we need the GhostKanan scene? Why did we need so many things we saw in this episode.

And on the subject of “Who Shot Mr Burns” — I lost it when I saw everyone heading towards Truth with their respective weapons because that’s a shot-by-shot lift from The Simpsons. Really hard to take things seriously at that point. Overall in this episode, and often throughout this season, I feel like they tried to do entirely too much and lost the plot.

Anyway, I hope they can manage to pull things together in the final five episodes. I’m not very confident they will, but I’ll still be tuning in.
