Fuckers. I’ve spent years working on not having white dude guilt, while acknowledging that many of my euro-brothers are misguided, or filled with hopelessness and directionless hate, until they get pointed to someone or -thing they “should” hate, and then they unleash all the ugliness. So, yeah, they’re out there, and frankly, they scare me sometimes, too. That dead, angry glare is ready to snap over anything. I’m sorry that’s your experience every time, not just sometimes. I try each day to make the world better, to make it safer for everyone to be them, and to feel safe in the world, and stories like yours make me ever more mindful of that need.
