What’s amazing in this mundanity is that Messenger was able to parse my words and figure out that I indeed wanted to order an Uber car, and so it automatically inserted a “Request a Ride” button right below my chat bubble

I find that to be a creepy experience. Imagine sending someone a private message and knowing that Facebook is actively decoding the conversation. Talk about Big Brother.

Chat conversations involve many more personal conversations than email and this would definitely be a deal breaker for me.
