The city of love, Paris!

For some Paris is the city of love.
For some Paris brings rush to the heart. Makes them feel warmth from inside perhaps because of their love stories.
For others it is simply not.
It was 25th Dec 2015 around 7PM. Eiffel tower was glorying in lights. It was cold and crisp and not too many tourists were at the observation deck.
A young couple spotted at the observation deck. The guy put his hands around her shoulders. Both were staring at the stunning Eiffel in flashing lights. You could see happiness on their face and love in their eyes.
They were amazed and taking all the beauty and glamour in silent. He kissed her head while she was watching the lights. As if everything was perfect at that moment. She turned her head and saw him on his knees, with a small nicely wrapped jewellery box in his hand. He said: “Honey, would you accept …”
She put her fingers over his lips and repeated. Please don’t ask. Please don’t say anything. Please don’t…. The smile was fading on their faces. For a few moments as if they turned into a set of Musee du Louvre statues. He was still on his knees and started unwrapping the box with absolute no words.
She saw a heart shape neckless with a diamond inside.
For that couple who made a trip to the city of love – to make their own love stories or perhaps to put a love lock at Pont Des Arts. – Paris is simply not the city of love but the city of doubts.
