As a UX Specialist, when we talk about tools, we usually mention Slack, Google Drive, Sketch, Invision, Marvel, Adobe Suit or the like. Before joining UserWorks, I had never heard about this tool called Airtable. But it turns out to be a really useful tool. Airtable is essentially a tool that allows you to combine data analysis, data visualization and project management in one smooth experience. The UI looks like excel or a google sheet and it performs all the functions that excel can, but it looks visually appealing and allows you to customize the views based on your needs.

I think this is a great tool for analyzing large amounts of data when affinity diagrams cannot be used or may be really cumbersome to handle. Airtable allows users to group data based on similar themes. Users can also create linked tables of content to view some portions of data on a separate tab. I really like this feature as it allows users to get an idea at a glance and derive solutions based on this analysis.

It also allows users to add attachments such as files or images and view content in a calendar view. I really liked the flexibility provided by this tool and plan on using it for personal tracking and planning such as creating a grocery shopping list by creating a table of recipes I want to cook for the week and linking it to a separate table with a list of ingredients and a link to a video of the recipe.
