D J B provided a link to a NY Times “Opinion” by their editorial board. ( http://www.nytimes.com/2016/08/24/opinion/pandemonium-at-jfk-airport.html )They seem to be in perfect synch with Marcela, that pandemonium let loose. The board does not subscribe to the opinion that nothing happened.

Sen. Schummer and Gov. Cuomo are both initiating investigations, which recognizes that “something did happen.” It would be nice to hear what the gunfire-like noises were, and why the alarms and lights were activated, helping to raise the level of panic even more.

Marcela did not concoct an attack, but only reported that people were running scared for their lives. Seems that her first-hand reporting was first rate accurate, and nothing to criticize.

I take at face value Marcela’s observation that the magnitude of the panic was not reported. Apparently, any of her fellow journalists that called the airport were told something along the line that “nothing happened.” It’s not Marcela’s fault that none of them probed more deeply or that the authorities lied.
